Pathways to peril: Roads to Damascus, Tripoli see alarming number of accidents

Speeding and inadequate infrastructure are contributing to deadly collisions on national highways, particularly on routes linking Beirut with Tripoli and Damascus.

Editorial: Safety for All

Day in, day out and we hear and read of suffering and death due to unintentional injuries.
We keep asking ourselves if we can ever reach a day when people are aware that such injuries can be prevented.
YASA Group for Public Safety in all its member organizations works hard on all levels to promote safety and injury prevention.
We all work in a belief that we have the right for safety.  Safety for all and not for one over the other.  Every single sole whether baby, child, adult, parent, elderly, or other owe this right to themselves.
Over the past years we have unfortunately witnessed increase in such figures on various levels.  In spite of all this increase and we still see governments not placing these issues on their priorities lists.
In all our work we call on all people, especially decision makers, activists and educators to help raise this issue in order to help increase safety and prevent injuries and deaths.
